Whether coated in winter snow or summer sun, travelers young and old enjoy exploring historic Main Street. Here you can peruse the small shops or pop into one of many charming eateries. Stop in for a mean cup of coffee and perfect pancakes at the Blue Moose, or treat yourself at Daylight Donuts. When you’ve had your fill, sit back and enjoy the wonderful people watching. Since Main Street is where most of the action is in town, you’ll meet plenty of fellow travelers in the area.

Hike Your Way Back in Time

It’s easy to forget Breckenridge’s humble beginnings as an old mining town amidst the ski resorts and rental shops. Luckily, you’ll find traces of its intriguing history all over town. For something more substantial, book a guided hike out to Preston Mill with the Breckenridge Historical Alliance. This ghost town was once home to over 150 citizens, and the remnants of their time lay scattered throughout the area. Check out the old mining equipment and dilapidated structures that have survived. For something truly spooky, book one of their haunted walking tours.

Atop you’ll find plenty to do — with a new array of dining, hiking, and adventure options, you’ll easily pass the day. Enjoy a meal at Sevens Restaurant, or zipline through the tree tops. Just be sure to get up there early, as the gondola stops running after dark.

For something a little different, head over to Breckenridge Distillery, where you can enjoy a free tour of the facility. Learn how their spirits are made, and sample a few in the tasting room.
